MCWA Meeting Minutes

Meeting Held outside of Nunda Township office, under a street light - Need to possibly find
another location for MCWA Meeting.

Eric Rademacher K9KQB has volunteered to take lead on this.

New Officers elected:

President: Tom Staley, K9TMS
Vice-President: Martin Parrish, W9MLP
Treasurer: Scott DeSanti, KB9VRW
Secretary: Matt Gallant, KB9ROY

News Letter Editor: TBD, Tom, K9TMS has volunteered
to assist until someone new steps forward.

New Committee formed:

This committee will be responsible for coming up with
the Programs for the meetings. They can either provide
the program themself or they can bring in someone to provide the program.

Tabled items:

Currently there is a tabled motion to provide several agencies with donations from the club and it's members.

One proposal was for the club to donate $250.00 to
each of three organizations:
Red Cross, Salvation Army and Arrl
Then, for every dollar that a member donated, the
club would match up to $250.00 per organization.

Maximum Club Donation: $1500.00 ($500.00 to each
organization)
*provided club members donated a total of $750.00

An amendment was raised, asking if members could do
either the following:

1.) Vote on the organizations to receive the
donations
2.) have control over which organization will
receive their donation

After some discussions back and forth, the motion was
tabled so that more information
could get out to the club members.

News Letter:

There was several discussions about how to
disseminate the newsletter. Some members like it via snailmail, some via text based,
some via rdf, some issues arise with documents being barred by firewalls, etc...

All members, when submitting their Dues, were asked to fill out a "Membership
Application & Dues Payment Form", which would have updated any information such
as address, Ham Interests, what they would like to do, teach, volunteer for, and
how they would like to receive their Newsletter.

This form plays an important role in our club, as it helps with the following:

Identifies interests which in turn helps drive programs.
Identifies members that may want to teach or contribute to programs.
Updates records etc...

So please, if you would, please go to the following

next meeting. Even if you think we have all the corrected information, it couldn't
hurt to re-submit the form.
