Regular Meeting minutes – November 2, 2010
The meeting was called to order at 7:31 pm.
The president called for introductions which included a guest NT9l, Valerie from Wisconsin.
It was reported that Cornell’s group, W9CA, using 3 transmitters placed second overall in field day with 5900 Qso’s.
There was no old business brought before the club.
Under new business, Marty made and Jack seconded a motion to donate $25 to the church we were meeting in as a token of our appreciation for the use of their facility.
The minutes for our October meeting were approved as posted to the mcwa listserve.
At this point, future programs were discussed. Hap HollyKC9RP will give the December program, topic unknown, and January’s will be hosted by N9UM.
Wendell told those of us who don’t know a bit about Hap’s background and his creation of the Rain Report.
Wendell also spoke about his involvement with the JOTA event this year and stressed that our club would do well to participate more with JOTA in the future.
In health and welfare news it was noted that Eric KC9CUK was severely burned using misquito spray.
After a short break Jack gave the second part of his last months' program on impedance matching.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:52 pm.
