Regular Meeting minutes – June, 2010

The meeting began at 19:30 with KA9OZP the Vice President presiding. KA9OZP asked for visitors and guests to proceed with self-introductions including the brand of radio they use. W9MLP Treasurer were also in attendance. A meeting attendance report showed 15 members and 7 visitors in attendance. The required 14 members established a quorum. The President KB9I is in Mexico at his daughters wedding.

The secretary was not in attendance and questions were brought up about the minutes from the last meeting and whether they were published. W9MLP made a motion we accept the minutes as published. The motion was seconded and carried. KA9OZP discussed the E4X dxpedition and the difficulty contacting them. W9HOG worked them on 30 meters (cw). W9HOG discussed DX and beginners. N9REP discussed the up coming public service events and the need for participants. The UDDER Century Invitational on Sunday June 6, 2010 at Donley’s Wild West Town, Union, Ill. to provide SAG and various support. See http://www.mchenrybicycleclub.org/MCBC%20Udder.htm
The 33nd Annual Woodstock Challenge Road 10K, 5K and 1-mile & 1/2-mile kids/family run/walk will be held on June 19, 2010 at Woodstock Water Works Family Aquatic Center located at 1313 Kishwaukee Valley Rd., Woodstock in Emricson Park.
